Meet the Owners
The original founders of Pacific Island Electric and Solar, Inc. consist of Markus Class, previously the owner of Class Solar, LLC (a
renewable energy and energy efficiency consulting firm based in Hawaii), and Kirk Brewer, a dedicated and experienced electrician.
Both Markus and Kirk enjoy outdoor activities in and out of the water. Their love of the outdoors is what makes them so passionate about being stewards of the environment and part of the environmental solution.

“Ever since the energy crisis in the 1970's it was abundantly clear each of us must to whatever we can to break the pernicious addiction to oil. Last year I was delighted to learn that we could invest in a solar electric system and have HELCO take power from us and use it. In the six months our system has been up and running we have slashed our bill and sold back enough power such that HELCO is producing less power from fuel oil in Kona. We are proud to say we have produced 1305 kwh of power and prevented the production of 2218 pounds of CO2 the green house and other polluting gas.
